2008 PTI TECHNICAL CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION
The conference was held May 4-6 at the Hyatt Regency at Union Station in St. Louis, Mo. The three-day event included technical sessions, panel discussions, committee meetings, educational seminars, product and software demonstrations, networking and social events, as well as a trade show with 37 vendors. In addition, PTI hosted its biennial Design Awards dinner and presentation recognizing excellence in post-tensioning applications.
Technical Sessions
This year’s conference included seven technical sessions with 27 presentations on various aspects of post-tensioning design, construction, repair and rehabilitation. The session lineup was as follows:

Ask-the Expert Forums
The 2008 Conference featured two of these popular sessions: one on Buildings, and another on Slab-on-Ground Foundations. Attendees had an opportunity to ask questions and raise issues of particular concern in their practice. The expert panels were comprised of PTI professional members with extensive experience in the field.

Concurrent Concrete Bridge Conference
This year’s conference was held in conjunction with the National Concrete Bridge Council’s 2008 Concrete Bridge Conference. Each conference had a separate technical program as well as the joint exhibition. The bridge conference technical sessions were open to PTI registrants.
