What qualifications are required to serve on a committee?
Committee members are volunteers who offer their services to PTI and specific committees. Each applicant is asked to complete a personal data sheet listing relevant experience. Each applicant is evaluated based on individual merit, experience, and willingness to serve. Membership decisions are made by TAB/CAB with a recommendation from the committee chairs.
What are the expectations of voting and associate members?
Voting Members – must be a PTI Member, expected to return all ballots, attend at least one meeting each year, and participate in most web meetings.
- Associate Members – encouraged to comment on ballots, to attend and participate in meetings and web meetings.
When and in which ways do committees meet?
PTI Committees meet in person twice each year during the Spring PTI Convention and the Fall PTI Committee Days. Business is conducted outside of these in-person meetings via web meeting and letter ballots as necessary.
