PTI Member Recognition Award Descriptions

A PTI Fellow shall have made outstanding contributions to the post-tensioning industry in the areas of education, research, development, design, construction, or management. In addition, a PTI Fellow shall have made significant contributions to PTI through committees and/or other involvement and shall have been an active member of PTI for at least the most recent five consecutive years.
Nomination Procedure
Nominations shall be made annually during the nomination period by any current PTI member via a submission form located on the PTI website. All submitted nominations shall be reviewed at the end of the nomination period by a joint meeting of the PTI Technical Advisory Board (TAB) and the PTI Certification Advisory Board (CAB) who will make recommendations from among the nominations and/or its own list of recommended nominees, to the PTI Executive Committee.
Selection Procedure
A maximum of two PTI Fellows will be awarded each year. Final approval of recipients will be made by the current PTI Executive Committee exclusively from the list of recommendations received from TAB and CAB. Approval by the PTI Executive Committee shall be made by a simple majority vote for each candidate recommended by TAB and CAB if two or fewer recommendations are received from TAB and CAB. If more than two recommendations were received from TAB and CAB, ranked-choice voting shall be used until only two candidates remain.
Retention of Fellow Status
A PTI Fellow shall retain that membership rank as long as membership in the institute is maintained. If PTI membership is not maintained, the Fellow will be contacted and given a three-month grace period to obtain PTI membership. If membership is not secured in this three-month period, the member will forfeit their PTI Fellow status.

The PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning honors the members of PTI’s Hall of Fame. These individuals have made a significant long-term contribution to the development of the post-tensioning industry in affiliation with PTI. To be eligible for nomination as a PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning, individuals shall be a current or previous PTI Fellow.  
The PTI Hall of Fame was established in 2005 as part of the PTI Awards Program to recognize the pioneers and “superstars” of the post-tensioning industry.
Nomination Procedure
The PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning Selection Committee shall be formed biannually to review nominations from membership and shall be comprised of the current PTI Executive Committee, and three existing PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning recipients selected by the Executive Committee.

All submitted nominations shall be reviewed at the end of the nomination period by a meeting of the PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning Selection Committee who shall hold full authority to bestow the award.

A maximum of two PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning honors may be bestowed biannually in even numbered years. Final approval of recipients will be made by the PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning Selection Committee exclusively from nominations received from membership during the nomination period. Selection by the PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning Selection Committee shall be made by a simple majority vote for each nominee if two or fewer nominations were made. If more than two nominations were received, ranked-choice voting shall be used until only two candidates remain.
Retention of Legend of Post-Tensioning Status
Recognition as a PTI Legend of Post-Tensioning is bestowed in perpetuity and is not dependent on retention of PTI membership.

A PTI Lifetime Member shall be a person of eminence in the field of post-tensioning, or one who has performed extraordinary meritorious service to the institute.
Selection Procedure
Awarding PTI Lifetime Membership is at the sole discretion of the PTI Executive Committee and shall be made on a very selective basis. A 2/3 majority vote of the PTI Executive Committee shall be required to award PTI Lifetime Member status
Retention of PTI Lifetime Member Status
Recognition of PTI Lifetime Membership is bestowed in perpetuity and is not dependent on retention of any other form of PTI membership.
